Ruben and Robbie are getting married!!!
We met two years ago racing on a Mumm 36. Robbie thought Ruben was really cute. Ruben enjoyed hiking on the rail next to Robbie. Hugs were a little longer than with the rest of the crew.
A couple years later, as fate would have it, Ruben was refitting his boat for the Single Handed Transpac and Robbie hauled out her boat for a bottom job at the Berkeley Marine Center. One hot afternoon we shared a beer and a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, on a bench looking across the bay. The rest is history...
